Job Description: Sales Associate 
A Sales Associate (SA) is responsible for contributing to the store’s success by ensuring customer service and Favorites Consignment’s store standards are met. All SAs are expected to have knowledge of helping customers on the sales floor, cashiering, and inventory and consignor history.

Responsibilities

  • Staying up to date on new trends and product knowledge to better assist customers
  • Greeting and receiving customers in a welcoming manner
  • Responding to customers' questions
  • Interacting with customers by directing them to areas of the store in which they are interested in shopping and sharing how to read out tags
  • Engaging customers through sharing product knowledge
  • Having the ability to build relationships with Favorites Consignment customers and consignors by knowing their preferred brands/styles/sizes, following up on purchases, and contacting them when new items arrive in the store
  • Promoting and informing customers about consigning their items with us
  • Processing transactions and payments
  • Documenting sales by creating/updating customer profile
  • Attaining daily sales goals
  • Assisting with inventory, tagging, stocking, and merchandising
  • Maintaining store visual standards by ensuring products are displayed neatly in their designated locations, in size and color
  • Performing cleaning and straightening duties required prior to store opening and after closing
  • Updating and maintaining our social media presence during down-times
  • Other tasks include but are not limited to merchandising the floor and window displays, restocking, store maintenance, assisting customers in the dressing room, on the sales floor, and being able to perform opening/closing tasks

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills including a personable and positive attitude
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication abilities, including speaking, writing, and active listening
  • Familiarity with posting images and videos on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Effective organizational downtime management skills, like prioritization, multitasking, and planning
  • Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register Operations and cash transactions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management and fellow team members, customers, and consignors
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Can work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Can lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Operating computer systems with intermediate computer skills and keyboard skills on Apple Products
  • Keen attention to detail

Job Description: Task Personnel Associates
A Task Personnel Associate (TPA) is responsible for performing the general record-keeping and activities that keep Favorites Consignment functioning. Their duties include filling, organization of merchandise, and communicating memos to management. The TPA completes organizational tasks to promote efficient operations at Favorites Consignment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tagging merchandise and preparing those items to move onto the sales floor
  • Steaming merchandise 
  • Organizing merchandise to maintain shopability
  • Collecting, filing, and organizing Consignor files and confidential records
  • Preparing and processing merchandise, Consignor checks, and expired or donated inventory
  • Preparing and restocking the store's essential items for the next day
  • Keeping an inventory of store supplies
  • Other tasks include but are not limited to merchandising the floor and window displays, restocking, store maintenance, assisting customers in the dressing room, on the sales floor, and being able to perform opening/closing tasks.
